Our group joined colleagues from across the NCMBM for the annual scientific retreat. It was a two-day event and took place on 9-10 June at Klækken Hotel.
As always with these retreats, it was a fun and packed programme of science, discussion and socialising. We made the most of the beautiful surroundings, too, with a morning walk between sessions. It was a lovely chance to connect with colleagues in a more relaxed setting.
Several members of Haapaniemi Lab took to the stage to share about our research. Sigrid Fu Skjelbostad delivered a punchy research pitch on Cas9-Antibody Fusions as part of the opening day’s 3-minute presentations. Shiva Dahal-Koirala presented on T cell therapies for inborn errors of immunity in the Science Communication session, and Kornel Labun showcased the lab’s CRISPR tool development work, including SNIPSNP and related validation data, in one of the scientific sessions. Hatice Karabulut also presented her poster on Human HSPC Engraftment in Mouse Models.
It was another rewarding retreat for the group and a lovely chance to share our research and hear inspiring progress from colleagues. The evening poster session even came with wine and cheese! We returned to Oslo energised for the work ahead. 😊
