We are happy to share that our team members, Renate Sæther Flister and Nora Borg, have completed their Masters degrees. Congratulations! 🥳 They both successfully defended their theses on 22 June 2026, titled:
- Renate: "Comparison of finding an optimal model for human xenografts: A comparative study of NSG-SGM3 and NBSGW mouse strains and the effect of Busulfan conditioning on human hematopoietic engraftment"
- Nora: "Development of a Multimodal Screening Platform for Comparative Evaluation of Prime Editing Efficiency. Establishing an experimental framework through reporter cell line generation, prime editing vector construction, and detection assay development"
Renate’s work in our group focused on identifying suitable humanized mouse models and preconditioning for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation to improve therapies. Nora focused on systematically evaluating and comparing the performance of different prime editing systems in cell lines.
We are very proud of them both and wish them all the best for the future!
