On August 18th, three new master students joined our group: Nora Borg, Renate Sæther Flister and Nafasgol Naseri. We are very excited to welcome them and look forward to working together on their projects!
Nora is a Master student in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Oslo. Her project focuses on systematically evaluating and comparing the performance of different prime editing systems in cell lines. She has previously held internships at UiO’s EVOGENE section, Oslo’s Natural History Museum and NIBIO’s Division for Biotechnology and Plant Health, and she assists with husbandry procedures at NCMBM’s Zebrafish Core Facility alongside her thesis. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Bioscience.
Renate is a Master student in Bioscience at UiO, specialising in cell physiology and neuroscience. Her current work focuses on identifying suitable humanized mouse models and preconditioning for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation to improve therapies. She previously worked on metabolic analysis of copepods at NTNU’s Animal Physiology Department and trained in mouse handling and care at the Radium Hospital animal facility.
Nafasgol’s project focuses on using CRISPR editing in T cells for precise gene correction in CARMIL2 diseases. She previously interned at the Danish Cancer Society Research Center. Nafasgol has a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Oslo.
