Our group participated in the NCMBM Scientific Retreat 2025

Our team recently attended the two-day NCMBM Scientific Retreat at the Sundvolden Hotel near Oslo. The event brought together around 70 researchers for lively scientific discussion, collaboration and networking.

Highlights included engaging talks and workshops led by faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and trainees from across the Nordic EMBL Partnership. This year’s programme encouraged cross-group dialogue and knowledge sharing, reinforcing the value of interdisciplinary collaboration in molecular biosciences.

The retreat offered an inspiring mix of scientific insight and community-building activities, leaving our group with fresh ideas, valuable connections, and renewed enthusiasm for our work. 😊

This year, our Senior Scientist Cecilia Fahlquist-Hagert gave a 15-minute talk during the Personalised Medicine session, presenting our stem cell work. PhD student Frida Høsøien Haugen presented a poster titled CRISPR/Cas9 pipeline for custom editing in autologous T cells (by Katariina Mamia, Frida Høsøien Haugen et al.). And to top it off, our Lab Technician Dalila’s team claimed 1st place in a friendly social competition!
