Our PhD student, Frida, attended a 5-day workshop on gene therapy innovation organised by EATRIS in November. The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between scientific discoveries and their application in patient treatments.
Frida gained a deeper understanding of the entire gene therapy development process, from initial research to navigating regulatory hurdles. A highlight for Frida was the opportunity to discuss our lab’s CRISPR-Cas9 T cell editing platform with an EMA representative, gaining valuable insights into the regulatory landscape for their project.
The workshop also fostered connections with other researchers in the field, both through participant presentations and informal gatherings. These connections hold potential for future collaborations, aiding our group’s research endeavors.
The workshop provided Frida with invaluable knowledge and connections to advance the development of gene therapies.
